If you read my 2020 goals and plan post then you know I mentioned that my husband and I have some upcoming projects planned for Home Sweet Mosley this year, and I’m so excited to share it all with you.
We are starting our first major project this month… actually within the next 2 weeks and that is the backyard! I seriously cannot wait until our backyard is done and to be able to put it to use.
When it came to our backyard plans, we definitely thought about the space for our kids, our pup, and entertainment. As you can see we don’t have a huge backyard, but it’s a decent size compared to new homes here in Vegas.
Once we start the process, I will take you along and then show you all the before and afters.
Our goal is to have the backyard completed by the end of March, since it’s my daughter’s birthday and she wants her birthday to be at our house this year.
After the backyard is done, we want to work on the garage organization. As you can see in the pictures above, that we still haven’t finished unpacking and there are just bins and stuff everywhere. So we plan to add cabinets along side of the walls to store the bins, and also thinking about painting the garage.
We also want to install a work/tool area, so my husband has his space to work on things, and then paint the garage floor with epoxy.
Lastly, we are thinking about adding a small little workout area in the garage. I would love to place a treadmill and weights here, but that also might be done later on down the road.
Our goal is to start working on this project around May or June
The next project we have planned will be during the summer and that is painting the cabinets in the girls bathroom and in our master bathroom.
I’m not really sure what color I’m going for in the girls bathroom, but I’m leaning towards white or maybe a beige.
And as far as the master bathroom, I think we are going to paint the cabinets black or navy blue.
And the last project planned for the year is painting all the window seals black.
I love the look of all the window edging black. It gives a modern look, which I love!
I hope to have this done by the end of the year!
xoxo
