I recently purchased this rose quartz face roller and I’ve seriously been obsessed with face rolling. It’s like getting a special little treatment when doing my morning and nighttime routine. I also love how it gives me more of an awaken look in the morning, and not to mention all the benefits that comes with it. Now I did also have the Gua Sha stone as well, which I honestly love as well… probably even more than the face roller, but I unfortunately dropped it and the stone broke. So I definitely need to order myself another Gua Sha.
But if you haven’t heard of face rolling or even Gua Shaing, there are so many benefits to it.
The benefits to using a face roller or Gua Sha
- helps with tightening the skin
- helps with lymphatic drainage
- helps reduce fine wrinkles
- helps prevent wrinkles
- tightening pores
- reduce puffiness
- helps serum absorption
So what the difference between a jade face roller/Gua Sha and rose quartz face roller/Gua Sha?
Rose quartz will always stay cool where jade will warm up once applied to the skin. It is believed that rose quartz will last long as well. Rose quartz also has inherent minerals such as; silicium, magnesium, iron, sodium and oxygen, that skin can topically borrow and benefit from when rolling. Many people also believe that rose quartz has many healing powers like the ability to be calm or smooth. So I’m sure if you choose jade or rose quartz, either way there will be many benefits to it.
How do I use this gadget?
Mornings…
Every morning when I come downstairs to make the girls their breakfast, I take out the roller from the fridge and I take a few minutes and roll my face upward and out. I always start from the neck up and NEVER roll down. Always remember even when applying skin care products… when you rub or roll downwards… gravity works along with you and pulls your face down, so always roll and apply upwards. I also make sure when I am rolling, I roll up and out.. so going towards my hair line.
Nightime…
When it comes to rolling at night, I start off with my skin care routine, washing my face, applying toner, and then I apply my serum(s). As soon as I applied my serum(s), I roll. I do the same exact process as in the morning. I start with my neck and roll upwards and ending on my forehead rolling upwards. This usually takes me about 3-5 minutes… depending how tired I am. I always make sure to wash the roller, dry it off, and then place back in the fridge for the next morning.
Ever since using this roller every morning for about 2 weeks now, I can see how much of a difference I look in the morning. It’s like an instant face lift. I do recommend placing it in the fridge or freezer… trust me it’s seriously the best! It’s cold, but man does it feel amazing on the skin! It help with depuffing my face and my under eyes, and just make me look more awake. The Chinese have been using this tool to help with longevity of looking young, and well I’m sure that’s something we all would like, right?!
