I’m at that age now were vitamins are super important, but in reality you should start taking vitamins at any age just to keep your immunity and health strong.
I’m going to be super honest… I ALWAYS forget to take my vitamins! But I found a new method that has helped me remember taking them daily. Since I always have all my vitamins in the cabinet, that is how I always forget to take them. Now, I place all my daily vitamins in a small dish and place them by the stove. This helps remind me to take them daily, especially since I’m in the kitchen cooking at least 1x a day if not more.
But, I wanted to share with you, what I’m actually taking and why….
Vitamin D (1 everyday)- Vitamin D promotes bone growth. Your body must have calcium to build strong bones, otherwise being deficient in vitamin D can result to soft bones, especially in children.
Calcium (2 everyday)- I take calcium to help with vitamin D. Your heart, muscles, and nerves need calcium to function properly.
Vitamin C (1 everyday)- Taking vitamin C helps against immunity deficiencies, and other health diseases like cardiovascular and eye disease.
Raw Zinc (as needed)- I don’t take Zinc everyday, but I do like to take it when I feel like my immune system needs a boost, or if I’m around someone that isn’t really feeling well. It’s great for building your immune system and helps with my metabolism.
Iron (1 everyday)- Iron is needed for the body to grow and develop. Our bodies also use iron to help make hemoglobin
Magnesium (2 everyday)- Magnesium is a nutrient that the body needs to stay healthy. It also helps with regulating muscle and nerve function, blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and making protein, DNA, and bones.
Turmeric (as needed)- This is another vitamin that is not necessary, but it helps with inflammation and arthritis. Just like Zinc I don’t take this everyday, but I do like to take a dosage every 2 weeks or so. I especially take it when my carpel tunnel starts acting up.
Capelli (2 everyday)- This is a capsule that I take for my hair and is suppose to grow healthy and stronger hair. I’ve noticed in the past that this really works with my hair falling out, so I’m starting to take it again and taking notes to see if it’s really working.
Women’s Daily Multi-Vitamin (1 every day)- This has all the needed vitamins in 1 pill form, but in my opinion does not have the right daily dosage of all other vitamins in it.
Glucosamine (as needed)- I don’t typically take this everyday, only as needed. This mainly helps for joint pain/stiffness, so whenever I feel like I need it due to those issues, is when I take it.
Let me know down below in the comments what vitamins you take and is absolutely necessary. I would love to know!
XO
